Hi
Hi,
Now that the sharing feature is finally out, could you please consider spending some time on the search?
It's not very useful how it works right now, I think it should instead go from left to right, for example "^now #mit color:1" should go through the tree and first pick all the items due now, then amongst those if found pick the ones with label #mit, and finally amongst those the ones with color:1. Instead it does something else (not sure what exactly) and I have to constantly work around it using a bunch of labels.

Hello Xavier B,
ReplyDeleteThe search for a case like you described does not work across the hierarchy, i.e. now it should only show separate items which have all specified due, tag, color.
Tags work across the hierarchy, i.e. parent tag may have #tag1 and a child #tag2 and this will work when filtering by #tag1 #tag2.
We're actually not sure how to make it work better especially given that there is a request to support "#tag1 OR #tag2".
Regards,
P.S. I do not promise that we will be implementing search improvements in the next release, but we definitely thinking about it as it is not a simple matter.
