3 day - Wednesday. Select a target parent when 'mm'moving a task

3 day - Wednesday. Select a target parent when 'mm'moving a task
Some features are plain usability enhancements that should have been done ages ago. Still, when you have a (very) limited number of working hands and hours, you have to choose, and some improvements wait for years to get implemented.

This one waited for 3 years, but here it is, finally. Now you can select a target parent when moving a task with 'mm' shortcut.

Just arrow-right to dig into the target list, and arrow-left to move a level back.

Enjoy! :)

  1. Been waiting for this for ages! Is it a paid-only feature? I don't see it on my free account

  2. Stuart Gibbons Looks like a deployment glitch, the server did not refresh properly, please check it now.

  3. Nicely done :) Would be perfect if the current list was available to move things around
without cut/paste or arrow keys. I'm being greedy now!

  4. It is a valid request, but it is a bit more complicated, because we need to filter out those tasks in the selection (to avoid moving a task under itself). May be a bit later :)

  5. This is also a good one! Only that the "arrow-right" is always displayed, even if there are no sub-items. (Probably a performance issue.)

  6. Hello Stuart Gibbons and others, could you please take a look how it currently works on the https://beta.checkvist.com. We've tried to make 'mm' working with the current list as well.
    Thanks!

  7. Checkvist excellent! seems to work well. You are able to select a child of the node you're moving but if you select it then nothing happens, so no harm done.

  8. Checkvist - small bit of feedback after using this for a couple of weeks. Would be good if what you'd typed into the filter textbox cleared when you navigated into one of the list items. e.g. I start typing 'ho' and the top level list filters down to a couple of lists like 'home list' and 'household chores'. I navigate into 'home list' but then it's blank because it's still trying to filter the next level down on 'ho' and there's no items matching. The filter has done it's job each time you select at each level hasn't it?

  9. Hi Stuart Gibbons , you're absolutely right, I've faced this problem myself a couple of days ago. The fix is already on beta.checkvist.com, and I hope to release it to production on Monday.

    Thanks a lot!
