Apologies if this is a known issue, but the bookmarklet fails on GitHub pages,. I think this is due to GH implementing content security policy which prevents the script from running. This is only invonvenient, no worse than that, but because it happens silently some people may think the bookmarklet is broken.

  1. Hello Roger Searjeant, you're right, this is due to CSP. But if you're using Google Chrome, you can use Checkvist bookmarklet extension, it works there and it even has some specific support for GitHub links.

  2. I would prefer to use Firefox, but I decided to try the Chrome addin again. (I assume you meant the bookmark extension - the link in your post is to the list extension). Unfortunately, when I right-click the page (any page, not just a GH page), nothing happens. No dialog appears, no feedback of any kind. I had AdGuard running so disabled that, in case it was interfering with the addin, but this made no difference.

I don't have any other addins which inject code (e.g. Disconnect) or other ad-blockers. What else might be preventing the addin from running?

Any plans to implement the same functionality for Firefox?

  3. Please disregard the previous comment! This was my stupidity - just reload the page, and it all works.

Would still like to see a bug fix - the 'close' button doesn't work.

  4. Hmm, close in the right top corner works for me. What is OS you're on?

By the way, you can press Alt+Shift+C to invoke Checkvist Bookmarklet, and Esc should close it. Mouse is optional.

  5. I should have qualified the comment: 'close' does not work if you open the plugin panel before you have logged-in to Checkvist. The panel presents the authentication fields - the 'close' link does not close the panel.

  6. One more thing: once authenticated, the Chrome addin appears to retain its session token even after I sign out of the main Checkvist website: I can continue using the addin. There doesn't appear to be a way to invalidate the plugin's session from the plugin's UI. This feels instinctively wrong - either the addin has its own session, and I should be given a way to end it, or the addin session should end with the website session.

  7. Roger Searjeant You're right, the only way to invalidate plugin session at the moment is to remove the plugin at all. So far you're the first one who would want to invalidate plugin's session. I've added this request to our uservoice: checkvist.uservoice.com - Allow to logout from Chrome Bookmarklet extension

As for the 'close' link, this we'll fix as well.

Thanks a lot for the feedback!
