4 - Thursday update: Header styling and step-by-step unfocus

It rains over here, and the weather is not as hot as you can expect it in Istria in the end of June. Means more 'dreamwork' for us - a seaside cafe among old pine trees. Boy, why can't it be forever :)

Yesterday's update is two-fold - a bugfix and a feature extension.

1) A fix eliminates a small but naughty issue. If you combine Markdown headers with bold and italic formatting, 'mh' + 'bb' or 'ii' shortcuts, you know it used to work only one way: formatting first, headers second. Do it another way, and formatting is broken.

Now you can apply the shortcuts in any order - 'mh', 'ii', 'bb', all will result in predictable styling.

2) The feature update brings more intelligence to the 'focus' (aka 'hoist', aka 'pin') feature. Press 'shift-right' to leave just one task or a node on the screen, press 'shift-left' to un-focus, and show the whole list back. That's how it worked before.

Now, 'shift-left' will work as 'undo' for the 'shift-right': if you subsequently focused into deeper levels of hierarchy, the 'unfocus' will bring you back just one step per time.

Many thanks to Paul, Ralph, and all others who help us improve Checkvist. That's a pleasure to work for and with you :)

Till soon!

  1. Thanks for the new shift-left behavior. Much quicker than using the parent list.
