Hi! Is there a way to customize the way iCal integration creates an event?

I use Google Calendar and the Checkvist iCal integrations looks great, but:

1. It could be great to use task note as the event description. Now, the events shows only the task title as the event title and there's no event description.

2. It could be great if the event has an URL link to the task in the Checkvist list.

3. It could be great too if we can have separate iCal sources for each list.

Thanks a lot!

  1. Hi,

    Please see my answers below.

    1. This should already work. All notes added to the list item with due should be converted to event description.
    2. We publish the URL as "event URL" but unfortunately, google calendar does not show this information. It is visible in other calendar apps like MacOS Calendar app.
    3. Thanks for the suggestion, please vote for https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/6239632-ical-feed-for-specific-lists-branches-nodes . You'll be notified when we fix this.

    Thanks!

  2. Hi again, Kirill Maximov. Investigating a bit deeper, I can see that Trello's solution of the "event URL" problem is, simply, to append the "card URL" at the end of the event description. That way, they guarantees that all calendar apps (including Google Calendar) shows it.

What about develop an user option to always append the event URL in the event description when integrating with calendar apps?

    Thanks again,

    Ricardo.

  3. Hello Ricardo,

This is a good idea. Please check out https://beta.checkvist.com (same login/password) - I've implemented this approach there (it was a quick fix). Please let me know what you think.

    Best,
