Global filter automatically applied via Checkvist list link
Global filter automatically applied via Checkvist list link
Global search is great (apart from the index update latency) but it would be great if clicking on a List link in global search were to open up the list and apply the global search filter (see attached image).
This way all of those filtered tasks could be seen in their list context.
How hard can it be ? :o)
Hello Mark Dickens,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot - an interesting idea!
It is not hard to implement, but this may be not correct behaviour.
Checkvist's global search searches on list names and list tags as well, in this case, passing the filter on the click will be meaningless.
On the other hand, we can skip the filter if there are no found list items under the list name.
I'll add this to the improvements list and hopefully will squeeze it into one of the next updates.
Thanks again for sharing the idea,
Alt+Shift+C in Checkvist Bookmarklet, and your request is placed to the related list. Nice :)
ReplyDeleteMark Dickens We've implemented this feature on https://beta.checkvist.com - could you please check how it works for you?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Kirill Maximov On holiday right now so can only test on my iPhone but works a treat! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteKirill Maximov Back from holiday and tested this addition in desktop browser, PERFECT! thank you. Ship it! :)
ReplyDeleteMark Dickens Thanks, will do! We've made several changes in filtering logic as well, so would like to make some additional testing.
ReplyDeleteKirill Maximov any idea when this change will move from BETA? I use bookmarks in my Checkvist daily workflow and it would be simplify things greatly for me if I didn't have to do some things in beta and some not.
ReplyDeleteMark Dickens I've just updated the production site, so the change should be there.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
Kirill Maximov Cool, thank you!
