When would you invalidate an item rather than marking it complete? Would it be use to hide an item that is to be reactivated later?

Hello Peter! I usually invalidate a task when it's not going to be implemented as a part of the initial plan, but I am not sure where it goes, whether it's appropriate or not, etc. After that it's either deleted or re-opened and then completed, sometimes as a part of another outline.
ReplyDeleteInvalidated items can be hidden with the same 'hide completed' shortcut, 'hc'. We have a request not to hide invalidated tasks, though http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/3097229-show-invalidated-tasks-when-hide-completed-tasks-s
Thanks Sasha. I agree it would be more useful if you could have invalidated items visible when completed items are hidden. Even better if they could be toggled independently to complete tasks. Now that would be first prize.
ReplyDeleteAha, I see. Could you please add your comment to that request then? http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/3097229-show-invalidated-tasks-when-hide-completed-tasks-s Can't promise to implement it straight away, but we'll definitely consider the new setting in the upcoming releases.
