Hello friends! I'd like to ask for your opinion regarding multi-line text editing. This suggestion comes from one of our Russian-speaking customers Dolina Zamkova so here is a translated abstract of our email conversation. Current problem: When you write multi-line text, you must press 'Shift-Enter' first, then use 'Enter' to start a new line, then 'Ctrl-Enter' to submit the text. Wouldn't it be easier to have a setting that will allow using Enter to always write multi-line texts, and always submit on 'Ctrl-Enter', like you do it in text messengers? So we could add a new account-wide setting, on the Settings page: () Finish editing by pressing 'Ctrl-Enter' (convenient for multi-line text) What do you think? Do you write multi-line texts in Checkvist at all? Other thoughts of how we could make it better? :)
Hmm. Looks like Checkvist doesn't accept these characters. Do you know the Unicode codes for these symbols? You could use their HTML representation to insert them into the page, in a form &#NNNN;
ReplyDeleteok I'll check that, thanks for the awnser!
ReplyDeleteHello Erik,
ReplyDeleteUnicode characters in default font and characters in FontAwesome are different. With &#NNN; notation you can use icons from http://unicode-table.com.
To use FontAwesome icons you should enable FontAwesome for some HTML markup. It is enabled for code like , but you cannot use FontAwesome codes in the task content as is.
Ok I understand. To go back to first awnser: the three unicode char. are: http://unicode-table.com/en/1F4C6/ http://unicode-table.com/en/1F4C5/ http://unicode-table.com/en/1F4CE/ is there a way to paste these into checkvist directly (and keep them there) without inserting code? this is aesthetically more pleasing when edditing/processing lines
ReplyDeleteLooks like now this is not possible. I have to investigate why these characters are not accepted by Checkvist. Could you create a bug report at checkvist.uservoice.com?
