Re: List selector (default to alphabetical, not "last updated")

Re: List selector (default to alphabetical, not "last updated")
Recently started using checkvist and overall impressed. I have set up a list for each active client and project (~10 lists). A very annoying issue is that the "Lists" menu item displays the lists in "last updated" order. Since i bounce between several lists all the time, this semi-random sorting style forces me to rescan this list each time looking for a particular list. It's nerve racking on both the desktop and even more so on mobile. "Last updated" is a good sorting style for items that are not used frequently. Please let us select the default sort order for the list selector (alphabetical by default). Thanks.

  1. Hello Anthony,

Thanks for the feedback and for the suggestion. I'm afraid, I don't think we'll implement this soon. Checkvist is build around the keyboard, so in your case I'd suggest to start typing the list/client name and press Enter than look for the specific name in the list.

Also, you can file your suggestion to https://checkvist.uservoice.com

       Thanks!

  2. That's a shame. Have you tried using checkvist with multiple lists on a cell phone? The list order changes each time and i have to search for the list i'm looking for instead of simply going to where i know the list will be in the order (e.g. 3rd one down ).

  3. Actually, for the cell phone we're working on alternative UI. Please check http://m.checkvist.com or (older variant) https://checkvist.com/m/

Also, in the current UI you can navigate to the index page by clicking the logo and use A-Z sorting there.

    Hope, this helps.

  4. that's what i'm using .... please try using checkvist with 10 lists and you will quickly realize this pain point. And sorry, no, i don't want to click sort each time. I have an idea, can you simply use the sort order defined here https://checkvist.com/checklists#main .... at least that would be consistent.

  5. Sorry, you're using m.checkvist.com?
Then yes, it makes sense to use chosen sorting from the main page.
I just don't want to use it in the ll popup.
