Checkvist mobile, v.0.4 -- Reorder list items

Checkvist mobile, v.0.4 -- Reorder list items

Finally, re-ordering list items is here. And it means not only dragging list items up and down the tree, but also changing their hierarchy.

TAP-N-HOLD a list item and then drag it to the desired position, either up/down or left/right.

When you drag a list item under a collapsed node, it will expand automatically, so you can place it correctly within that node.

List item reordering should work offline as well and sync changes when you go online.

The feature was tested on Android 4.2, iOS 7.1, both Chrome and Firefox. Hope it'll work on other devices as well. If not - do let us know, we'll fix it :)

Other fixes include:

- Less obtrusive 'Syncing' message, http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/239385-checkvist-mobile/suggestions/5960479-make-syncing-notice-less-obtrusive

- Hiding app's log, http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/239385-checkvist-mobile/suggestions/5960474-bug-clicking-on-the-outline-expand-collapse-arrow

- Some design fixes, including 'Quick add' screen layout, colors and behaviour of interactive elements.

And there's so much more to do! :) In the next couple of updates will be implementing smarter editing (tags, due dates, etc.), and list item deleting.

So.. back to work! :)

  1. Hi guys, you may be aware of this already but it's not working with Opera Mini (7.5.35199). Totally blank.

  2. Hello, Josie. Unfortunately Opera Mini's Javascript support is too limited, we can't provide any good experience with it. If you have only Opera Mini on your phone, please, use the old mobile app, it should work fine there http://checkvist.com/m/

  5. http://m.checkvist.com displays a totally blank page on desktop chrome. Was that intentional?

  6. S M Sabri Ismail Have you tried clearing the browser caches? http://m.checkvist.com should work on Chrome, we use it to develop the app, actually :)

  7. Switched to Firefox for Android but my login isn't being accepted :( Is chrome my only option?

  8. Josie Sawers Firefox should work just fine. Are you sure you're entering your credentials correctly?

  9. Chrome beta 36.0.1985.81 on android on Note 2: tap+hold on task text opens the selection/clipboard stuff. Tap+hold on the non-text part of an task line has no effect except sometimes to scroll the page.

  10. S M Sabri Ismail Regarding colors: we plan to have a 'full screen' editing, so you can open a list item 'full screen' and add/edit all it's parameters, including colors. Toolbar space is reserved for 'search' and 'more'. And by the way, what's FV? We want to make Checkvist usable for it! :)

  11. S M Sabri Ismail Bug, nasty bug. We'll fix it. Thanks a lot for the help!

  12. Jonathan Kolodner Thanks for pointing out, we'll try to reproduce and fix. Of course, you should be able to perform several moves without need for exit.

  13. Checkvist said what's FV? We want to make Checkvist usable for it!

Sorry late reply. FV is a time management methodology defined by Mark Forster here http://archive.constantcontact.com/fs004/1100358239599/archive/1109980854493.html .  Usage of FV in CV described here https://checkvist.com/checklists/455914 . In short I just need "1", "2" buttons to work in CV Mobile.

  14. Checkvist said Toolbar space is reserved for 'search' and 'more'.

Is it possible to have customizable toolbar in CV Mobile? Users select from a list of command buttons to be shown or not on it. The toolbar is the nearest to keyboard shortcut tool in CV Mobile. I personally would trade "search" button with the "1" and "2" colour buttons.

  15. Bug. We edit item by double touch. We end edit by touching elsewhere. Touching on part of the item moves cursor to that point.  Touching at the end portion of the item should moves cursor to the end, and should not end editing instead.

  16. Feature Request. The "Add list item" screen has an option check box "Use an empty line as a separator for list item". That check box is alway unchecked when you open said screen. Can we have CV Mobile remembers and retains the status of that checkbox for the next time we use "Add list item" screen?
