Does it take some time for the "in:" filters to register task-closing?

  1. No, the filtering should work instantly. Could you let me know how to reproduce this? It works in my tests.

  2. Yes, sorry I didn't respond before.  I've recreated the bug not even searching for a particular word or for when it was changed.  Just searching for "in: open", choosing an item from the search results, hitting the space bar right there in the search results, and then doing the search again.  Sometimes it takes a few back and forths from open to closed item and open to closed search, but then I get a result where the search is "in: closed", but the results show a bunch of gray text struck out closed items... and one black text / no strikeout open one.

  3. Hello,
When filtering, Checkvist sometimes shows sub-items of the found items, even if they didn't match the search criteria themselves. I.e. if you're looking of open items, the filter will show closed subitems of open items as well (greyed out).
If you want to hide closed list items from view entirely, use 'hide completed' option (hc shortcut).

Does it explain the Checkvist filtering behaviour? Or I misunderstood you?

  4. No. There is no nesting involved here. The intended use case is to get a log of what I have completed recently. So I am searching for "in: closed". But I don't get items I just closed a few minutes ago. And I do get those items when I search for "in: open", even though they are correctly styled as closed. Experimenting with this bug, I can also get the reverse behaviour, with recently reopened items appearing in the results of a search for closed items.
