I'm not quite sure how to merge and de-merge lists.

I'd like to create a few dozen separate lists, but then merge them into one list, so I can get the numbering consistent across all of them (not all starting from the beginning). Is this possible?

Is there a tool to convert word documents into OPML? I've got a few dozen of them, and it's be really handy to convert them into checkvist without all that copying and pasting.

    Hello Peter,

       Checkvist allows you to
        - copy or move a contents of one list to another one. For that, see 'copy' command in the toolbar
        - when editing a list item, create a link to another list. For that, type *lst:" while editing a list item and see what happens

      Regarding conversion of word documents to OPML - we haven't used such tools but a quick google search gives this link, and there are some instructions for that: http://www.outlinesoutloud.com/support/

    Brilliant, thank you! I've got OmniOutliner, so that'll be handy. 

    Now I just have to see how to get word tables to work..

    Actually merging is a good idea. The opposite of exporting a subtree to a separate (linked) list. Would like to see such a feature.

    Ralf, if you are looking for an opposite to extracting a list - it is possible via 'copy' command in toolbar. You just need to set option 'as a single node' in the copy dialog. Is it what you are looking for?

Hello friends! I'd like to ask for your opinion regarding multi-line text editing. This suggestion comes from one of our Russian-speaking customers Dolina Zamkova so here is a translated abstract of our email conversation. Current problem: When you write multi-line text, you must press 'Shift-Enter' first, then use 'Enter' to start a new line, then 'Ctrl-Enter' to submit the text. Wouldn't it be easier to have a setting that will allow using Enter to always write multi-line texts, and always submit on 'Ctrl-Enter', like you do it in text messengers? So we could add a new account-wide setting, on the Settings page: () Finish editing by pressing 'Ctrl-Enter' (convenient for multi-line text) What do you think? Do you write multi-line texts in Checkvist at all? Other thoughts of how we could make it better? :)
