Check out how easily github lets you add images to an issue (start writing any issue, then drag or ctrl-v-paste an image into the textarea).
I wish I could do this on a checkvist item. The workflow would be:
1. start typing an item
2. find an image somewhere, maybe by taking a screenshot or doing 'Copy Image' on another browser page
3. ctrl-v in my checkvist item
4. now we have an image attachment to the item

Thanks! Yes, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V for attachments would be a very nice enhancement. On our to-do list :)
ReplyDeleteDrag-n-drop already works when you are not editing. Just drag a file to any list item. There's also a way to attach an image while editing - type img: and upload the file. There's a quick demonstration of the feature, Attachments in Checkvist
I didn't know about DnD, but it seems to make a link instead of an image even when I drag in an image.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about dragging more links into my list, though, since I am often pasting in urls (the slow way).
Actually, when you drag an image to the list item, it attaches the image to it (works the same way as for any file).
ReplyDeleteIf you want to embed the picture into your outline - use 'img:' for editing list item text and it will offer the name of the attached image as an option.
Hope, this helps :)
